Sports Education at Local School in Vrina

Our team had an amazing time visiting this local village of Virna located near the Albania coast. We were able to coordinate with a local school to come in during class time and surprise the kids with these new gifts. We brought volleyballs, soccer balls, pinnies, whistles and all sorts of sports related gear that will help the students and teachers enjoy being active outside. Along with this sports equipment, we were able to provide a couple of educational seminars on the importance of staying active and the risks involved if we do not. In addition, we taught them how to appropriately utilize these resources and how to host an organized game. We taught them how to play volleyball, a sport that was not familiar at the time! 

Helping those in need

Upon arriving to this village, it was evident what limited resources they had to survive, let alone lead a healthy active lifestyle. At that age, it was heartbreaking to see children worry about other issues and not just about being kids. It was a great moment of us to help understand their needs and try to help in any way possible.
